4:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A car accident on Sheridan Street near Boston Avenue has erupted into a street dispute after one of the drivers involved called some people over and began harassing the other driver. Things are not physical yet but they are escalating.

12:03am--#Bridgeport CT-- #Stratford CT--A caller near the McDonald's on Barnum Avenue in Stratford called police for shots fired and police found nothing. About 30 minutes later a man in the 100 block of Sage Avenue in Bridgeport, not far from Barnum Avenue called police that he heard shots fired and found a bullet hole in in house. Police are investigating.

(Bridgeport, CT – Oct. 21, 2013) – Two men face assault and robbery charges in connection with an incident Friday in the Hollow neighborhood. Officers Jeremy Kelly and Adam Rozum located the victim and a witness at the intersection of Frank and Linen streets just after 7 p.m. The victim and witness reported that the victim was assaulted by two males who were armed with a baseball bat and a sock that contained a hard object. They fled with cash and a phone. The officers followed the witness for several blocks and observed the two suspects standing on a porch on Center Street. Police detained the men and recovered a baseball bat and white gym sock that contained a cue…
DANBURY -- Shrenik Kankaria couldn't spell "akaryote," but Abram Goda could spell "rubicelle." As a result, Goda, a 12-year-old seventh-grader at the Multicultural Magnet School in Bridgeport, will head to Washington, D.C., in May to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
