Bridgeport News: Man Fatally Shot in Greene Homes Housing Community; Homicide Squad Investigating

https://youtu.be/IKw1Ap9NBQ0 On August 14, 2024, at approximately 10:15 pm Bridgeport Police responded to reports of a party shot within the Greene Homes Housing Community (Building 4).  Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 45-year-old Bridgeport man in the hallway on the fifth floor.  He was found lying down and appeared to have succumbed to fatal injuries.  Medics quickly arrived and confirmed the victim was deceased. Patrol Officers secured the crime scene and notified the Detective Bureau (DB).  The DB Homicide Squad has taken charge of the investigation.  They are being assisted by Detectives from the Forensic Identification Unit.  The Detective Bureau is currently in the process of interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, and notifying next of kin.     Multiple shots were fired…

Milford News: Serious crash involving moped ends in death

On August 13, 2024, at approximately 2:06PM, the Milford Police Department Traffic Division was called to investigate a serious motor vehicle accident with life threatening injuries in the area of 1061 Boston Post Rd. A preliminary investigation reveals that a car was traveling east on Boston Post Rd when it was struck by an Asceno R2/50 moped. The operator of the moped was transported to Bridgeport Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The operator of the moped was identified as Brian McGrory, 65, of Milford. BRIDGEPORT POLICE ARREST CITY WOMAN FOR ROBBERY THAT WAS TIED TO MARCH HOMICIDES

On Tuesday, the Bridgeport Police arrested a Bridgeport woman who helped run the club by conspiring with those men to pull off the crime. Shanica Merced, 35, was taken into custody on an active felony warrant during a motor vehicle stop by Bridgeport Police Task Force Officers on the East Side. Bridgeport Armed Robbery

An armed robbery happened today at 1100 Boston Avenue around 5:14 PM. The suspects were driving a black Acura and a red Dodge Charger with dark tinted windows. At 6:07 PM, an officer spotted a red Dodge Charger that looked like the one described, heading toward Hollister Avenue in our town. Since there's an entrance ramp to the interstate on Hollister, State Police were alerted to watch out for the suspect vehicle. Troop G reported they haven’t seen any cars matching the description on the highway. The victim said he was robbed of $4,000.
