11:55pm--#Bridgeport CT--Tonight's car fire is at 120 Middle Street the Post Office parking lot.   Reports say it is fully involved and approximately ten feet from a forklift truck with a propane tank attached.  Firefighters on the way.  Firefighters report "tar kettle trailers" that were on fire now extinguished.

Easton K-9 to retire with no replacement

#Easton CT--We have received a number of messages from viewers  upset that Officer Tamra French and K9 Chase have been patrolling the streets of Easton since 2003.  K9 Chase is now twelve years old and will be retiring on June 30, 2013.  There is an online petition you can sign by clicking here  here to keep the K9 program going once Chase retires.  There is also a Facebook page here.....  Easton is the smallest police department in Connecticut with a K9 program.

Revised tax increase in Fairfield

First Selectman Mike Tetreau and Board of Finance (BOF) Chair Tom Flynn announced today that, primarily as a result of ongoing administrative initiatives, reduced health care costs and operational adjustments on the town-side, the Town has been able to reduce the proposed budget increase to approximately 4.8%. The Town budget process is a continuous work in progress from the time of the initial budget meetings in October through the final Representative Town Meeting (RTM) vote in early May. Police receive numerous calls on disturbing video on Facebook

12:02am--#Bridgeport CT--There is a very disturbing video on Facebook of a very small child being sexually assaulted by an adult.  This video has triggered a large number of calls to police departments in the area.   Bridgeport and Stratford Police received many calls.    Police said that unless the caller can identify the person, child or area where the video is originating there is nothing they can do other than report it to the FBI.  There is no way of identifying if it happened in Connecticut.     A viewer told us that her mother called Stratford Police and said they have the link and an investigator is investigating.  Police said not to forward the video but to immediately report it to…
