10:05pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A motorcyclist is down after a collision with a car on Hillside Avenue (off Suburban Avenue).
9:40pm--#Bridgeport CT #Fairfield CT--Bridgeport and Fairfield Police are in the area of Commerce Drive for a burglar. The suspect cut the lock on the door with bolt cutters at a lawnmower store (I don't think it's the rental company) at 197 Dewey Street. Canine from both towns are also in the area. 9:09pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police quickly locate a missing child in the 500 block of Trumbull Avenue. The child was missing for about 40 minutes.
6:40pm--#Westport CT--EMS on the way to Brook Lane for a woman with burns from hot wax that was on her stove.
6:33pm--#Brigdgeport CT #Faifield CT--Firefighters, police and EMS from both towns responding to an unresponsive male in the marsh behind the batting cage on Canfield Avenue. UPDATE--Man is now responsive and able to walk.
Bridgeport police released the identities of the two pedestrians who were injured in a hit-and-run incident Monday. They are identified as Bennie Mae Smith, 61, and her niece Diamond Battle, 6. Both are Bridgeport residents. They were crossing Washington Ave at Highland Street when they were struck. Two other young children made it across the street safely and were not injured. The responsible vehicle was described as a light-color, large-size SUV which fled north on Washington toward Catherine. It was missing a side mirror. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
5:15pm--#Stratford CT--Firefighters are at 543 Nichols Avenue after a neighbor reported seeing white smoke coming from the vents of the house. Firefighters cannot locate the source but there is no smoke or fire.
4:44pm--#Bridgeport CT--Officer on patrol reporting numerous shots fired in the 500 block of Harral Avenue. So far no one or anything reported hit.
