This state police officer took it upon himself to kick me off the property after I identified myself as a member of the press. I asked where I could report and he told me to get off the property or I'll be arrested. The video you seen is mid way between our "conversation" and I knew I had to roll tape to capture his exchange. He knew I was rolling video and that I was with the press. Multiple ambulances to Mayfair Court Health Care
5:34pm--#Trumbull CT--Three ambulances have been called to Mayfair Health Care on Mayfair Court for a smoke condition in room 308. 3 people have smoke inhalation including a pregnant woman.
On the rocks!
5:21pm--#Bridgeport CT--Firefighters and police responding to Seaside Park for a man in the water off the rocks on near the lighthouse. No mention if he is in distress. UPDATE-- AMR have walked out on the rocks to him. UPDATE--The man "blew out his knee" according to reports and first responders are trying to figure out how to get him ashore. UPDATE--Firefighters have him on the boat and on the way to pier 5.
Mayfair Health Care Center Evacuated
5:14pm--#Trumbull CT--Firefighters are on scene at 218 Mayfair Court, Mayfair Health Care for a smoke condition in room 308. Per protocol the facility has been evacuated until they find the cause of the smoke condition.
Crash on the Merritt
5:07pm--#New Canaan CT--#cttraffic--Crash on the Merritt Parkway northbound between exits 37 and 38.
Fire in Norwalk
12:02pm--#Norwalk CT--Firefighters battled a fire in the basement of 43 East Avenue. Primary searches for humans turn up negative, they did got back in for a bird and a cat. They are still finding hot spots that extended into the building an hour later. Power secured to the building but now challenged with solar panels on the roof.
Shots fired
11:25pm--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating shots fired at a person on Eaton Street. About 5-6 shots were fired but it does not sound like anyone or anything has been hit. The shooter fled on foot.
