Stratford News: 4 Rescued in Boat Fire- 1 Man Has 3rd Degree Burns
12:42pm--#Stratford CT-- There is a boat on fire at the mouth of the Housationic River. Fire and EMS staging at Knapp's Landing Restaurant, 520 Sniffens Lane. Four civilain boats have circled it and are spraying water on it. Coast Guard and Milford alerted Stratford Marine Rescue on the way. UPDATE: A oyster boat was on scene putting water on the fire. Fairfield's Rescue arrived and has one burn victim with possible 3rd degree burns. The victim is now being transported to shore to an awaiting ambulance. UPDATE: There were 4 people on board the clam boat fire. 2 are injured. UPDATE: Man has burns on both arms, about 20% of his body. He was transported to the Bridgeport Hospital.
