On July 23, 2019 The Stratford Police Department responded to a report of a preteen who was sexually assaulted in Town. It was determined the preteen met the suspect through the social media application “Snapchat”. The suspect created fake profiles on several social media applications. Using the fake profile the suspect lured the preteen from a residence where he sexually assaulted victim. Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Reginald W Sharp (DOB 03/13/1985) of Bridgeport. Sharp is a convicted sex offender currently on the sex offender registry. During the late evening on July 23, 2019 Stratford Detectives with the assistance of the Bridgeport Police Safe Streets Task Force and State of Connecticut Department of Probation located and arrested…

#Stratford CT--On 07-19-2019 Andre Larson age 19 of Bridgeport and Elijah Sampson age 20 of Bridgeport were arrested along with two local juveniles ages 14 and 15. The group was approached by an Officer who was investigating a complaint of cyclists who have been loitering in and near Longbrook Park blocking traffic and harassing residents. As the Officer approached the group fled on their bikes. While fleeing, the group rode through the park and splash pad area where small children were playing. 2019-07-20 @ 12:45pm --A crash on River Road near Booth Memorial Park injured 15 people including 7 children. First responders activated a triage at the scene to care for the injured. Shelton sent mutual aid with EMS and firefighters. One firefighter was treated for heat exhaustion.
STRATFORD – The annual “Blues on the Beach” summer music festival is about to take place this Saturday, July 20, and this year a designated drop-off and pick-up zone has been established for the event located at Wayne’s Walk at the intersection of Riverdale Drive and Lighthouse Ave. This will serve as a designated drop-off or pick-up area for Uber, Lyft or taxis and other passenger services to accommodate their customers. #Stratford CT--On 06/19/2019 the Stratford Narcotics Unit, in coordination with the Bridgeport Police Task Force, Safe Streets Task Force and the Norwalk Police Narcotics Unit executed two Search Warrants for Narcotics and Firearms Violations. These Search Warrants were the culmination of an investigation conducted by the Stratford Narcotics Unit and the Bridgeport Police Task Force that focused on Narcotics Sales as well as Firearms related crimes within the Town of Stratford and City of Bridgeport.
