Stratford News: 2 Arrested After Shots Fired At Motel

#Stratford CT-- On 8-12-20 at 1150pm police dispatch advised officers of a call of shots fired at 1500 South Ave, Quality Suites. Upon officers arriving they locked down the hotel and all exits. Two suspects were taken into custody. We located 3 rooms where the bullet had traveled through walls almost striking four children in one room. Officers recovered an SKS 7.62 rifle and a .45 caliber handgun. Approximately $11,000 cash money and narcotics. The suspects arrested are Alize Tyler from North Carolina. Jerrod Goodman  of New Haven. Goodman was charged with Carrying a Firearm without a Permit, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm, and Risk of Injury to a Minor (4cts) and Criminal Possession of an Electronic Defense Weapon. He…

#Stratford CT--The Stratford Police Detective Division is attempting to identify the below-pictured subject. He is the suspect in a commercial burglary that occurred on 8-3-2020 at approximately 3:00 a.m. at 2595 Main St. Power tools and $20 dollars were taken during the crime. He is 35-45 years old male, white, possibly Hispanic, and 160 lbs. He has black hair with graying around the temple area. He has large tattoos on both inner forearms. He was last seen wearing a short-sleeve shirt with shorts and blue running sneakers with no socks. Stratford News: Larceny-Risk of Injury to a Minor

#Stratford CT--On 08-07-2020 Nathaniel Allen age 20 of Stratford was arrested along with two juveniles for attempting to break into cars and stealing two bicycles from the Johnson Avenue area of town. Two of the group fled on the stolen bicycles but were apprehended by Officers a short distance away. Allen was charged with Risk of Injury to a Minor (2 counts), Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree and Larceny in the Sixth Degree. He was held on a $5000 dollar bond and is scheduled to appear in court on 08-28-2020. The two juveniles were charged with Criminal Trespass in the Third Degree and Larceny in the Sixth Degree. STRATFORD - The Town of Stratford’s new dog park will open for the first time on Saturday, Aug. 8, and the public is invited to a Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at 10 a.m. co-hosted by the Town and Friends of Jared’s Dog Park. The park is located in Roosevelt Forest at 700 Peters Lane. The much-anticipated dog park, the first for Stratford, is one-and-a-half acres of fenced natural landscape for dogs to run free, exercise, play and socialize. It features water fountains and small obstacles for the dogs and benches for the dog owners.
