Sunday Hours Also Cease Until October The Stratford Library, 2203 Main Street in Stratford will be closed on Sunday, May 28 and Monday, May 29, 2023 in observation of the Memorial Day holiday. The library will reopen on Tuesday, May 30th at 10 am. After Memorial Day, the Library will now be closed on Sundays until October. Town of Stratford To Host Annual Veterans Breakfast
STRATFORD -- Mayor Laura R. Hoydick announced today that the Town of Stratford will host this year’s Veterans Breakfast on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. The annual event, which has provided breakfast for more than 1,000 veterans since 2012, is scheduled to start at 9 a.m. with doors opening at 8:30 a.m. and will be held at Vazzano’s Four Seasons in Stratford. There is no charge for veterans or their guest, who will receive a full traditional breakfast. “This is a wonderful, annual event to honor our Stratford veterans,” said Mayor Laura R. Hoydick. Here’s That Man With A Gun Incident in Stratford I Reported As It Happened>’
#Stratford CT--On April 29, 2023, at approximately 1:30 PM, officers from the Stratford Police Department responded to Esporta Fitness at 411 Barnum Avenue Cutoff for a disturbance. During the incident, Emmanuel Rivera, age 21, of Bridgeport, threatened others in the gym with a firearm. Rivera was immediately taken into custody as he tried to leave the area. A second individual, Khyree Brown, age 21, also from Bridgeport, took the firearm and fled the scene as officers arrived. Brown was later apprehended at the Reybestos Property adjacent to Frog Pond Lane. The firearm was found on the property where Brown was arrested. It was a Glock pistol with the serial numbers removed. Rivera was charged with Carrying a Pistol without a…

He has been spotted a number of times this afternoon but they haven't been able to apprehend him according to radio reports. Last seen at East Main and Frog Pond and now reported to be in custody.
