5:00pm--#Westport CT-- The TD Bank at 1111 Post Road East was robbed at gunpoint. The robbers were two black males driving a black Volkswagen hatchback with plate # 213TZV which is a stolen plate. Stratford and Shelton also had similar robberies today from the same two. UPDATE--Westport has one in custody and one still at large. 6:19pm--#UPDATE: Police have recovered the gun and money. One in custody one still at large.
Just before noon time today a call came in for a person in the water near the concession stand at Stratford's Short Beach. The result of that call was a heart attack. We don't normally report on health related calls so we did not report on it. Around the same time Bridgeport Fire's Marine Unit was DRILLING as we had reported for a drowning at Pleasure Beach. I even posted how I wanted to go to the call but they did say it was a drill. I just confirmed with Stratford Police that there was a person found in the water, it is under investigation but they cannot confirm a drowning. There has been no other calls but other media…
12:35am--#Stratford CT-- Reports of 6 shots fired on Columbus Street. A gold colored car was seen speeding off towards Honeyspot Road. Informes de seis disparos en la Columbus Street. 5:11pm--#Stratford CT-- Today's car fire is a pickup truck at Saveway Tire at 2020 Stratford Avenue. Firefighters on scene reporting the truck was just overheated.
1:01am--#Bridgeport CT--Police are investigating a report of shots fired on Barnum near Elizabeth Street between a silver Nissan and a red Mustang. Multiple reports said about a dozen shots fired, Stratford Police received calls as well. After investigation no one or anything reported hit.
11:26am--#Stratford CT--Report of a truck hitting parked cars and a house at 3010 Huntington Road. UPDATE: It is a tree truck that rolled into a garage causing heavy damage to the garage. 9:00pm--#Stratford CT--Tonight's Domino's deliveryman robbery took place in front of 55 Raymond Street at gunpoint. Last night the Barnum Avenue deliveryman was robbed at gunpoint on Cowles Street in Bridgeport. 10:28pm--#Stratofrd CT--First responders on the way to the 1100 block of Cutspring Road where a car has crashed into a tree. Reports of injuries.
#cttraffic--#Stratford CT--A crash has the Merritt Parkway northbound closed near exit 52. Fortunately all were belted in, one person is in and out of consciousness after hitting their head. It sounds like the Merritt is closed in both direction since they are sending ambulances down the wrong way direction of the highway to get them to the scene.
