On Saturday after the BMW of Bridgeport X-5 Launch Event, Tim Kraemer presented me with the keys to an X-3 to drive around for the week. I have to tell you, besides the nice ride, it's like driving a car from the future! You should stop down at 43 North Avenue for a test drive of any BMW this week. They have some great end of the year specials going on. Check out the X-5, what a beautiful ride! I'll be back in the Interstate race car next week which is also a nice ride, but for this week I'll gladly be pampered!

It was a pleasure to meet Joseph and Buddy Ontra of Ontra Stone Concepts at 541 Central Avenue in Bridgeport. We are standing near their CNC machine which allows them to make precise cuts of the stone guided by the computer and the stone artisans at Ontra Stone. Buddy is a member of the Natural Stone Institute, Stone Fabricators Alliance, National Kitchen and Bath Association, and the Home Builders and Remodelers Association of Fairfield County. These organizations call on Buddy to speak at industry trade shows and moderate panel discussions attended by other fabricators. #Fairfield CT-- The town of Fairfield launched it's Shop Local campaign last week. Mark Burnell, Economic Developer for the town of Fairfield said they are trying to make this an ongoing event not just for the holiday season. Owner of Ganim's Garden Supply Lee Ganim said he'd rather see customers go to local shops instead of big box shops saying the quality and service is much better. Ganim said every Saturday should be small business Saturday! The campaign is stressing that fifty percent of money spent locally stays in the local community. #Bridgeport CT-- Last month we told you that BMW of Bridgeport was making a donation for every car purchased in the month on October to the Bridgeport Hospital Norma Pfriem Breast Center. Today, Mitch McManus, President of BMW of Bridgeport and General Manager Tim Kraemer presented the Center with a check for $3,527.42. Way to go!
