#Norwalk CT--On June 14, 2019, Marc Karun waived extradition from Maine and was brought back to Norwalk by Lieutenant Weisgerber and Sergeant Tolnay. Karun has been processed on the below charges and is being held on bond at the Norwalk Police Department. If Karun is unable to post bond, he will be presented at the Norwalk Courthouse on Monday June 17, 2019. Norwalk News: 33 Year Old Cold Case Of 11 Year Old Murder Arrest

#Norwalk CT: On Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at 11:20 am, members of the Maine State Police Major Crime Unit of Troop E Bangor along with their Tactical Unit arrested Marc J Karun of Stetson Maine as a Fugitive from Justice as he left his residence. The arrest occurred while Lieutenant Art Weisgerber and Sergeant Alex Tolnay were in Bangor, Maine to execute an arrest warrant for Marc Karun for the sexual assault and murder of Kathleen Flynn on September 23rd, 1986. At this time, Karun is being held at the Penobscot County Jail until his terms of extradition are determined. A formal press conference in Norwalk will be scheduled in the near future. 2019-06-06--#Norwalk CT--Norwalk Fire responded to a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment on 59 Winfield st. The car coming south bound at a high rate of speed went off the road through several trees, then landing on top of a pickup truck in the driveway next to the house smashing the window of the home. The two occupants were removed from the car and transported to Norwalk Hospital. The extent of their injuries and their identification is not know at this time. Occupants of the home were not injured. PD is still on scene doing the investigation. The officer observed a motorist pull around his vehicle into to the left turn only lane of Main Street and drive through the redlight while making a right turn. The officer stopped the motorist on Wall Street and identified the operator as TERRANCE PARKER. The vehicle’s registration was suspended and Parker’s license was suspended. #Norwalk CT-- On Sunday, April 21, 2019, the Norwalk Fire Department responded to Soundview Ave for a reported structure fire. Fire department companies found the third-floor apartment well involved with fire. Two hose lines were stretched to the third floor to extinguish. Multiple rooms had extensive fire damage and two others were damaged by heat and smoke. The second and first-floor apartments suffered water damage. The structure was posted unfit for occupancy and the fire marshal’s office is investigating the cause. There were no reported injuries. #Norwalk CT-- On Friday, April 5 , 2019, at approximately 8:30 AM, a 9-1-1 call was received from a Norwalk resident, stating that a man had entered the home, and pointed a gun at the caller. Officers responded to the scene and discovered that Collins had fled in a vehicle after attempting to shoot one of the occupants of the home. According to the victims, Collins pointed a gun at one occupant and pulled the trigger, however, the gun did not fire. Collins then pistol-whipped the second victim and began assaulting the second victim on the floor while the first victim ran to the bathroom to call 911. The second victim was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.…
