#Norwalk CT--The Detective Bureau is requesting assistance from the public in identifying a larceny suspect. Approximately $8,000 - $9,000 in construction equipment was stolen out of a locked storage container, and the suspect attempted to break into a construction vehicle. A security camera on the premises captured a picture of the suspect which is attached to this email. Anyone who can identify the suspect or with information regarding this crime is asked to contact Detective Serio at 203-854-3188 or dserio@norwalkct.org.
#Norwalk CT--On April 7, 2020 at around 1 p.m. officers were patrolling the area of Cranbury Elementary School located at 10 Knowalot Ln. Officers were checking to ensure no unauthorized people were on school grounds because school is closed, and observed an occupied vehicle parked on the property. Officers observed the occupant of the vehicle, Troy Musacchio, was masturbating inside the vehicle while watching a pornographic movie on a phone. Musacchio was issued a misdemeanor summons and released from the scene. This incident remains under investigation. Arrested: Troy S. On Saturday, March 28, 2020 at around 2:00 p.m. officers were called to Roodner Court located at 261 Ely Avenue for an assault. The victim reported he/she was assaulted by several individuals in their residence. Officers arrived on scene and the victim was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The Detective Bureau assumed this investigation and interviewed all parties, including the victim when the victim was released from the hospital. Detectives determined all parties were known to each other, and this was the result of an ongoing dispute over money. On March 22, 2020 at around 11:00p.m the patrol division received a report that two children age 4 and 5 were not returned to their mother after a weekend visitation with their father, in violation of a custody agreement. The children were supposed to be returned at 8p.m that evening. The caller received text messages from the children’s father, Yimi Moncada, at around 8p.m saying that he would bring them home, but never showed. Officers made contact with Yimi’s mother who saw the children at around 7:40p.m when Yimi supposedly brought them to their mothers. Officers placed telephone calls to Yimi, whose phone went directly to voicemail. At that time there was no additional information to believe the children…

The incident is being investigated as a family violence murder/suicide. On March 23, 2020, at 7:35am Patrol Division Officers responded to 8 Elizabeth Street after Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 hang-up call. Arriving officers found 3 deceased persons in a detached garage on the property. The Detective Bureau and Crime Scene Unit are on the scene at this time. Based upon the preliminary investigation, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. The victims have been identified as Gessell Moncada, age 5 and Jesus Moncada age 4, both of Norwalk. They…
