Norwalk News: Stolen Cars

#Norwalk CT--On September 3, 2020 at 11:44 PM, an Officer who was patrolling the area of EastNorwalk noticed a vehicle traveling with neither headlights nor taillights illuminated. The Officer followed the vehicle and a short time later, the three occupants bailed while the vehicle was still in motion. The vehicle came to a stop when it rolled into a chain. Officers flooded the area in an attempt to locate the occupants. They were not located. Since Friday, August 28, 2020 (a week ago), there have been eight motor vehicles stolen from a different residents within the City of Norwalk. Norwalk News: Candle Starts Fire

Norwalk Fire responded to a house fire at 9 Marlin Drive. The fire started in the second-floor bedroom after a candle fell off the table. The one occupant evacuated with no injuries. There was fire damage to the bedroom and hallway and smoke damage to the rest of the house. The fire is still under investigation and the home is unfit for occupancy, displacing one man. Fire marshal reminds us that when using candles as a light source during power outages, make sure they are away and clear of all combustible materials.   This news report is made possible by:

Silver Alert – Missing Juvenile

The Norwalk Department of Police Service has issued a Silver Alert for Angelina Ribeiro, who is a 14 years old.  Angelina is 5’4” tall, weighs140 pounds and has green/ hazel eyes.  She was last seen driving a black 2018 Nissan Rogue, bearing Connecticut Registration A70602, which has a bright orange Vaughn sticker on the front windshield.   Anyone who sees Angelina or can provide any information is asked to call 911.  Norwalk Police Tip Line: 203-854-3111 Anonymous Internet tips can be sent to Norwalk Police website at: www.norwalkpd.com Anonymous text tips can be submitted by typing "NPD" into the text field, followed by the message, and sending it to CRIMES (274637)

$404K For Norwalk Community College
