On October 6, 2024, at approximately 10:25am, Milford Police responded to Lynn Spa regarding a robbery at knife point. The victim reported that a customer pulled a knife on her demanding the employee’s phone, money, and clothing. The Detective Bureau responded and assumed the investigation.Investigation led to the arrest of Terrell Meynard, 42, of Stamford who is accused of robbing the female victim, taking her phone and money. Meynard was later located and taken into custody around 10:26pm. He was charged with Robbery 1st and Larceny 5th. He was held on a $500,000 bond and transported to Milford Court on October 7, 2024.

On September 12, 2024, at approximately 5:40 PM, an active arrest warrant for Angel Caraballo of Middlefield was served in connection with a fatal accident on I-95 in Milford that occurred in September 2023. Caraballo was processed at Troop G in Bridgeport and charged with manslaughter in the second degree with a motor vehicle, reckless endangerment in the second degree, and reckless driving. The charges stem from the deadly incident last year, where Caraballo's actions on the highway led to the fatal accident. After arrest processing, Caraballo was released on a $25,000 cash/surety bond and is scheduled for arraignment at Milford Superior Court on September 16, 2024.

On September 2, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Milford Police responded to a report of threatening behavior involving a shotgun at the Red Roof Inn located at 10 Rowe Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of 34-year-old Jason Jacobs, who is charged with breach of peace, threatening in the first degree, risk of injury, and carrying dangerous weapons. Jacobs was also found to have weapons in his vehicle. The incident occurred in the presence of two children. Jacobs is scheduled to appear in court on September 30, 2024, with a bond set at $50,000.
On August 27th, 2024, Milford Police received information that individuals from an organized retail theft group were believed to be at the Marshalls located at 1413 Boston Post Road. Officers made contact with Marshalls' loss prevention employees via phone, who relayed that they had been investigating an organized retail theft group driving a black Honda CRV. This group had been suspects in numerous thefts from Marshalls, Burlington, and TJX stores across New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. Officers responded to the area and ultimately took Carlos Cueva Arias, 37, and Jenifer Salines, 27, both of Paterson, NJ, into custody. Milford Police performed CPR on the infant until Paramedics arrived and took over life saving measures. The infant was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital and was pronounced deceased at 11:56am. Milford PD Detectives and the Milford State’s Attorney’s Office responded and assumed the investigation. Investigation revealed that Dale Kirkland, 31, of Bridgeport had been renting said room and checked out on the morning of August 21, 2024.
