(Bridgeport, CT – June 11, 2014) – A city man faces robbery and assault charges after he lured a co-worker to a location in Bridgeport on a promise to sell him auto parts and instead robbed him gunpoint. Detectives Chris Borona and Sean Ronan obtained a statement from a 22-year-old Stratford man who stated that a co-worker he knows as “Javon” agreed to sell him auto parts for a vehicle for $800. The two work together at a Westport business. Javon later was identified as Javon Oden, 21, of Bridgeport. The robbery was reported shortly after midnight on Sunday. The victim stated he called Javon late on Saturday and arranged to meet in Bridgeport to buy the auto parts. He brought $800 in cash…
3:22pm--#Fairfield CT--A man shoplifted Head and Shoulder's Shampoo from the CVS at 1968 Black Rock Turnpike and got on a city bus for his get away. Police stopped the bus near TJ Max and apprehended the suspect. I wonder if they will report him to Conditioner Gordon.......
Laurence Bradley, Westport Planning & Zoning Director announced today that on June 19, 2014, the Planning & Zoning Commission is scheduled to review two text amendments (Amendment #676 and Amendment #677) to the Westport Zoning Regulations. Text Amendment #676 (Application #14-021) was submitted by the Planning & Zoning Commission to amend the existing excavation and fill regulations. In 2011, the Commission had previously amended these regulations but further refinements are now needed. These most recent changes include reducing the number of exempt activities, creating some new exemptions for roads and driveways, limiting the use of fill to measure building height and reducing the severity of man made slopes. First Selectman Jim Marpe has appointed Dewey J. Loselle, III Operations Director for the Town of Westport. First Selectman Marpe stated, “I am most pleased to have Dewey working with me in the First Selectman’s office to assist me in carrying out the expanded mission I outlined during the election campaign. 4:35pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Three people stole a phone and gold chain off of an individual near Boston Avenue and Goddard Street. Two were males males, one with tattoos on his forearm, neck, and chest, the other had bushy hair displayed a silver handgun. The third, a female with blonde hair in a pony tail. The three all fled the scene down Boston Avenue on bikes.
(Bridgeport, CT – June 10, 2014) – Detectives Monday arrested a suspect in connection with a robbery and stabbing that happened over the weekend. Detectives Art Calvao and Chris Borona investigated the attack, which left the victim with multiple stab wounds including to his head, face and chest. The victim was located in the area of Main and Lumber streets. Officer Thomas Lattanzio later developed the identity of a possible suspect. When detectives spoke with the victim, he was able to identify the suspect, Jorge Valle, 28, from a photographic lineup. The victim is expected to recover but suffered from multiple injuries, including a collapsed lung. The detectives Monday went to the business where Valle worked. He was arrested without incident on charges of first-degree assault,…
