12:24pm--#Fairfield CT--A wing at the Carolton Chronic Convalescent on Mill Plain Road is being evacuated. An fire alarm was activated due to an exterminator who spraying chemicals for bug control. Firefighters on the way.
#Bridgeport CT--A mail carrier called police on the Logan Street/Hollister Ave area that a man was following her and going to porches and mailboxes where she just delivered to. Police investigated but I did not hear what the outcome was. Please be aware of this if you are expecting a credit card, tax refund or other important mail today.
11:46pm--#Norwalk CT--#cttraffic---A two car accident I-95 southbound with injuries reported. Traffic is light and it does not appear to be slowing traffic at this time. First responders on the way.
2:10pm--#Weston CT--Motorcyclist down on Valley Forge Road, possible broken collarbone.
10:39pm---#Bridgeport CT--Residents from neighboring areas were calling police for loud fireworks. Fairfield Police called Bridgeport Police to confirm it was was coming from the Bluefish Stadium. Tim the Toolman Allen was not available for comment........
2:00pm--#Norwalk CT--Firefighters on the way to Gregory Boulevard near 1st Street where the gas tank of a vehicle fell of spilling gasoline on the roadway.
1:47pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A person called an ambulance called for a prescription refill. When EMS arrived they informed her that they can't take her to the pharmacy but they could take back to the hospital. She then told EMS in huff to get off her property. This was all over bronchitis medication.
10:56pm--#Westport CT--Police officer on patrol reporting water over the roadway at Long Lots Road near Bayberry Lane. Possible water main break, officer is investigating.
Since the beginning of the school year, the Police Department worked with the Board of Education to complete a comprehensive review of security at every school in the city, both public and private. “It was a huge undertaking, but this effort has made our schools among the most secure in the state,” said Mayor Bill Finch. “I can’t say enough about the collaboration and effort that went into pulling all these pieces together. The tragedy in Newtown reinforced for us that we were doing was essential. City’s Downtown Road Improvement Project, which began on April 15, continues this week with the milling of Lafayette Boulevard, John Street and North Frontage Road. Milling on Lafayette Boulevard from North Frontage Road to John Street is currently underway and is expected to last through Tuesday, April 23. Paving of Lafayette Boulevard is expected to begin on Thursday, April 25. Milling of John Street from West Avenue to Water Street is scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 25. Paving of John Street is scheduled to begin early next week. Drivers should expect minor delays during this road improvement project.
