Man, Juvenile Charges After Melee

(Bridgeport, CT – May 10, 2013) – A 37-year-old man faces threatening and child endangerment charges after a dispute with a neighborhood youth led to a bicycle- and chair-throwing armed encounter. Police Officer Cristina Arroyo was called to the 100-block of Pennsylvania Ave. Thursday afternoon on a report of an armed fight. Everybody had separated by the time police had arrived. A woman told police that her son and another juvenile were involved in an argument and that Ramon Feliciano, a neighbor, intervened. Bridgeport Road Paving

The City’s Downtown Road Improvement Project, which began on April 15, is scheduled to be completed by the end of this week, weather permitting.   Paving of North Frontage Road, from Main to Lafayette Blvd., and Lafayette Boulevard from North Frontage Road to John Street is complete.   If weather permits, John Street paving will continue on Friday, May 10. Drivers can expect temporary road closures on John Street as well as temporary detours at the following intersections: John Street and Lafayette Boulevard John and Broad John and Main John and Middle, and John and Water streets.
