Milford man burned

#Milford CT--An employee of City Carting on Old Gate Road is recovering from burns he received over sixty percent of his body. The 18 year old man was standing near a 55 gallon drum which for unknown reasons had a fire burning in it. Milford officials said a flammable liquid used to start the fire raged out of control burning the man. Coworkers got the man to the ground, pulled his burning clothes off and extinguished the fire. The incident took place Tuesday around 11am and the victim is recovering in Bridgeport Hospital with second degree burns on sixty percent of his body. His name has not be released.

Local 200 Announce Tentative Agreement With Bridgeport

Cops crack egg case

#Bridgeport, CT – Jan. 2, 2014)– Two rooming house neighbors were charged with assaulting each other over a dispute over the ownership of eggs. Officer Kenneth Ruge responded to 743 Iranistan Ave. on an assault report.  He spoke with Frank Wright, 53, who stated that he was making ham and eggs in a common kitchen area when another tenant, Phillip Jackson, 25, started yelling, stating that the eggs belonged to him. Wright said Jackson then picked up a baseball bat and struck Wright’s right hand with it. His hand was swollen and bleeding. Police subsequently located Jackson a few houses away. Police charge Fairfield U student on sexual charges

Josua Delvecchio (dob 5/15/94) of Madison, CT a Fairfield University student was arrested on 1/2/14 at 10:30 am at the Fairfield Police Department.  Delvecchio was charged with Sexual Assault 1st Assault 3rd that she had been sexually assaulted on campus by someone previously unknown to her. The victim sought treatment at a local hospital and was treated for injuries. During the two month long investigation evidence was examined and witnesses were interviewed, which supported the victim’s complaint. Some of the evidence included electronic communication which Delvecchio engaged in with other students. Other evidence was gathered with the assistance and cooperation of Fairfield University Public Safety and Administrators.
