Two Men Arrested in Heroin Investigations

(Bridgeport, CT – April 25, 2014) -- The Statewide Urban Violence Task Force Thursday executed two search and seizure warrants and arrested two people in connection with an investigation into the sale of heroin. Members of the Bridgeport Police Emergency Services Unit executed the warrants at two addresses. The first location was the third-floor apartment at 215 Sheridan St. The second location was a second-floor apartment at 357 Nichols St. Authorities seized from the Sheridan Street residence 302 baggies of heroin, about 4,500 empty, new and unused heroin baggies, grinders, scales and about 100 grams of cutting agents. Undercover Operation Leads to Arrest

(Bridgeport, CT, April 22, 2014) – A city man was arrested Monday after he offered to sell crack cocaine to undercover officers. The arrest happened after narcotics officers developed information about drug activity in a specific area of Washington Avenue. Officer Miguel Perez and Sgt. John Evans worked undercover and parked in the area of Washington Terrace. After a short time, a suspect approached the passenger-side window and offered to sell them “Trees”, “Base”  and “Dope.” That is street terminology for marijuana, crack cocaine and heroin. The undercover officers stated that they were awaiting a crack cocaine delivery from their own dealer, who they said told them to meet him at that location. Milford News: High Levels of Carbon Monoxide Juniper Drive

7:22pm--#Milford CT--Firefighters are on scene at 144 Juniper Drive for a building with high levels of carbon monoxide 20 parts per million of a garage and hydrogen cyanide in the basement.  Firefighters are in the process of ventilating the building.  UPDATE--Sad to report that Ralph Mastrianna, 55 passed away in this incident. He was apparently working on his motorcycle according to his son.
