Fairfield News: Commerce Drive Closed
4:39pm--#Fairfield CT-- Commerce Drive in front of the Audi dealer is closed to traffic due to a large leak of hydraulic fluid. It appears the truck delivering cars leaked the fluid as police were checking his paperwork out at the scene. Firefighters on scene requested 20 more bags of speedy dry to the scene. #Fairfield News: Police this morning were greeted Monday morning to notes and homemade goodies from parents and students. Lieutenant James Perez said it is always nice to be thanked for a job well done. Southport News: Pedestrian Killed by Train
Metro North Railroad is reporting: The New Haven Line continued scattered residual delays of up to 30 mins due to earlier police activity near. Southport. UPDATE: Fairfield Police told me that it was a woman who attempted to jump in front of a southbound train but the train was able to stop in time. She then was struck by a northbound Amtrak train headed to Boston. Metro North has taken over the investigation. 1:57pm--#Metronorth--#Southport CT--A pedestrian has been struck and killed while on the tracks at the Southport Train Station. Currently on track one is operational.
