#Fairfield CT--The What’s Cooking Series at the Fairfield Public Library will feature one of the area’s premier sources for artisanal cheese, Fairfield Cheese Company, on Monday, February 8. Laura Downey, co-owner of the store, will be sharing her story in the Rotary Room of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road at 7:00 p.m. Laura will guide us through a scrumptious tasting of fresh and bloomy cheeses, washed rind and aged cheese, plus a variety of cow, sheep and goat chest. The Fairfield Public Library has embraced this trend by offering several well-attended coloring programs. In addition, Burnt Sienna Sundays will be held as a drop in time for adults at the Fairfield Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, every Sunday from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. Coloring allows adults to de-stress by focusing on a particular activity and not their worries. On 01/15/16, Sidney Nelson turned himself in on an active warrant held by the Westport Police for the charges listed above. Nelson was employed by a construction company doing work in Westport in December, 2015. While working in town, Nelson’s vehicle was recorded from home surveillance in the driveway of a residence that packages were taken from. Westport Detectives were able to track down Nelson and interview him regarding the video. Nelson confessed to the theft of packages and further admitted to multiple other package thefts in Westport and Fairfield. Nelson was charged with Larceny 5th degree as the total of the items stolen in Westport was $810.00. Fairfield Police are continuing to investigate the matter. Nelson posted the $5,000.00 bond and has a court date in Norwalk…
