The Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road, will be hosting a How-To Festival on Saturday, October 22, from 10 am until 2 pm. There will be over twenty booths and each one is 100% free! Have you ever wanted to try yoga? Have you heard about the new fitness craze “Pound”? Are you curious about the process of adopting a shelter pet? Would you like to design your own fairy? How about learning self-defense moves or learning to knit? The list goes on. Fairfield News: House Fire

5:00pm--#Fairfield Connecticut-- Firefighters were called to a structure fire at 241 Old Stratfield Road. The visible flames were seen from a rear bedroom window. Radio reports said that neighbors were setting up ladders to get the people from the second floor out of the building. Everyone made it safely out of the home. Firefighters had to enter through a window on the second floor taking up valuable time. Firefighters had a hard time entering the first floor door. A representative from the building department was requested to the scene as well as animal control for the pets living in the home. There were no reported injuries.
