11:38am--#Bridgeport CT-- A woman was robbed near the intersection of Park Avenue and Maplewood Avenue by a man with a black hoodie, armed with a handgun. She was robbed of her jewelry, and the man fled towards North Avenue in a 4 door grey car.
11:43pm--#Bridgeport CT--The Papa John's at 2354 Main Street was just robbed at gunpoint by two thin black males, one with dreadlocks. They took money from the register and from employees. 10:48pm--#Bridgeport CT-Firefighters on scene at 1215 North Avenue for what was a reported structure fire with people trapped on the third floor. It turns out the be an appliance fire on the third floor and the appliance was thrown out the window ending the situation.
#Bridgeport CT--A woman in the 300 block of Benham Avenue called police to register a complaint that her ex-boyfriend posted pictures of her on Instagram. #Fairfield CT-- Police were called to Sherman Street because a man threatened violence because his brother turned off the internet. 6:57pm--#Bridgeport CT--First responders on the way to Jesus Is The Answer Church on Gregory Street where water is flowing from the ceiling and from the light fixtures during a service. The building has been evacuated. If the damage is bad our friends at Servpro can make it like it never even happened!
6:07pm--#Bridgeport CT-- First responders on the way to Maplewood and Park Avenue where a pedestrian has been hit by a car. The driver did stop and is cooperating.
4:49pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A child with a brand new bicycle had it stolen while on Fairfield Avenue at Main Street. Quick police work along with a good description of the bicycle and police find it at the Walgreen's on Park Avenue.
4:11pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Police were called to the 200 block of Ellsworth Street for a man being chased by a woman with a baseball bat, the man is screaming for help. A minute later police receive a call at William and Armstrong Street for man beating a pit bull with a stick. The man threatened people passing by asking him to stop.
2:21am--#Bridgeport Ct--Wake up Bridgeport! Odor of gas indoors on Lee Avenue. Firefighters have no readings.
10:56pm--#Bridgeport CT--Just before 11pm Saturday night firefighters responded to a call of fire at an abandoned house at 1801 Central Avenue. When they arrived they found heavy fire at the roof line and were concerned about the flames extending to the building to the left of it. Firefighters quickly got control of the fire, I was there within ten minutes of the call and all visible flames were out on my arrival. There was concern about a homeless man living in the attic but primary and secondary searches of the home found no one in the building. The fire marshal is on the scene investigating.
