Police Investigate Stabbing

  (Bridgeport, CT – July 9, 2014) – A 35-year-old man was stabbed Tuesday night in the area of Harral Avenue and James Street. Officer Ferdinand Ferrao spoke with the victim, Freitas Valedsac, of Bridgeport, who stated that he was in area when a male walked up to him and asked him for a cigarette. The victim stated he told the man that he had no cigarettes and was asked if he had any money. According to the victim, he again replied no. At that point, he said, the man pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the upper chest and leg. He was treated at Saint Vincent’s Hospital. Medical personnel described the puncture wounds a non-life threatening.

Man Charged With Sexual Assault for Incident in Hospital

(Bridgeport, CT – July, 9, 2014) – A 53-year-old man faces charges that he engaged in sexually inappropriate behavior with a patient while the suspect was working at a local hospital as a certified nursing assistant. Detective Walberto Cotto secured an arrest warrant this month charging Gonzalo Flores, of Bridgeport, with fourth-degree sexual assault. The complaint was filed on June 10 when Officer Daniel Orlich responded to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center on a report of a sexual assault.  He spoke to the victim, who was a patient at the hospital and stated the assault happened several days before. The victim stated that he was asleep and woke up as Flores, a hospital employee, was inappropriately touching him in his genital area. Detective Cotto investigated…

11:55pm--#Bridgeport CT-- A man was stabbed multiple times from someone he knows who came to his apartment on Harral Avenue.  The man was stabbed in the upper right chest and also in the leg.  He is on the way to St. Vincent's Hospital, police are investigating. 2:50pm–#Bridgeport CT–Firefighters were called to Roosevelt Street and Williams Street to help a person trapped in their car after a head on collision.  The driver in the black car fled on foot from the scene.  The person in the red car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Bridgeport News: Police Sort Out Melee At DMV

2:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- State Police, Bridgeport and Trumbull Police were called to the Department of Motor Vehicles this afternoon on North Aveneue.  When they arrived the woman seen in the photo being arrested was smashing the windshield with a tire iron and screaming at a man.  The man fled the scene but police caught up with him a short time later.  Police are sorting whether it was domestic altercation or a road rage incident.  The woman had two small children in her car and authorities were called to the scene to take care of the children.
