#Bridgeport, CT – Aug. 11, 2014 – Police have charged a city man in connection with a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred Saturday. Police charged Dennis Berrios, 36, on Sunday with evading responsibility. The incident remains under investigation and additional charges are possible. The victim has been identified as Tyron Tate, 21. The incident happened at 10 p.m. in the 600 block of Noble Avenue. Witnesses at the scene reported that the 21-year-old victim was walking with several other people when he was struck in the roadway. He later was pronounced dead at the hospital. Three are in custody, at least one fled into a home at 144 Pennsylvania Avenue. 12:56pm--Bridgeport CT--Police Press Release: Detectives are investigating a homicide that happened this afternoon on Park Avenue. The victim has been identified as Ryan Hernandez, 21, of Bridgeport. He was shot at least once in the chest and taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. The incident happened in the 1300 block of Park Avenue near Olive Street. Detectives are interviewing witnesses and are securing any security video from the area that will could identify the vehicle or suspects. The car in which the suspects fled was described as a dark-colored sedan. Witnesses reported observing an altercation between the suspect and the victim prior to the gunfire.
