Violent Night In Bridgeport
1. On August 3, 2024, at approximately 11:15 pm the Bridgeport Emergency Operations Center received reports of a male victim arriving at an area hospital via private vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the buttocks. The victim has been identified as a 38-year-old Bridgeport man from the “Hollow” neighborhood. He is listed in stable condition. There were no ShotSpotter activations in the hour prior to this incident. Police have determined the shooting likely occurred inside the lobby of building 5 - Charles F. Greene Homes Housing Community. The Detective Bureau has responded and taken charge of the criminal investigation.
