His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. Bridgeport News: Fatal Crash After State Police Pursuit

I'm working on the details of a fatality at Iranistan and Railroad Avenue this afternoon after a pursuit.  The driver fleeing police hit two pedestrians and car resulting in at least one fatality. From the state police: Approximately 12:56 p.m. Troop G conducted a motor vehicle stop on I-95. Operator stopped, however as trooper approached the operator then fled the scene and became involved in a crash resulting in life-threatening injury.  The operator fled on foot after the crash, but has been taken into custody.

Stolen Vehicle Leads To 7 Yoots Arrested

#Westport, CT --#Norwalk CT---- On 08/09/17, at approximately 3:30am, Westport Officers were dispatched to Chapel Hill Road on a report of a motor vehicle theft in progress. The responding Officer observed a gray GMC Acadia on West Parish Road traveling at a high rate of speed. The Officer attempted to stop the vehicle but it sped off onto the Post Road. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on the Post Road when it turned around suddenly and attempted to strike 2 police vehicles. Officers avoided the collision and the pursuit continued westbound on Post Road East. Westport Officers then terminated the pursuit because the speeds were high and the pursuit was dangerous. Fairfield News: Cops Nab Man Who Hit Biker And Fled

#Fairfield CT--On August 8 th , 2017 at approximately noon time,  we were first to report to you that the Fairfield Police Department’s traffic unit responded to Black Rock Tnpk near the Route 15 Southbound entrance ramp after multiple 911 calls were received reporting a bicyclist struck by a vehicle. An initial investigation revealed that the vehicle fled the scene southbound on the Merrit Parkway. The vehicle was described as a gray vehicle with front end damage. Moments later, Officers with the Westport Police Department stopped a vehicle northbound on the Merritt Parkway near Exit 42. Fairfield News: Jennings Beach Sexual Assault Never Occurred Says Police

On 08/01/17 at approximately 4:40pm, a sex assault at Jennings Beach was reported to the Detective Bureau at Police Headquarters. While investigating these allegations, the Detective Bureau found no evidence to corroborate the victim’s account of what had occurred. After further investigation, the 18 year old female complainant who resides in Bridgeport retracted her statement to Detectives and confirmed that she was not a victim of a sexual assault, nor was she the victim of any other crime.   Despite the outcome of this incident the Fairfield Police Department takes every report of sexual assault seriously and conducts a full and thorough investigation into all complaints.
