His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Fairfield News: Water Incidents On The Sound Keep Fairfield Fire Busy

UPDATE: At 3:49pm on 08/20/2017, Fairfield ECC received a 911 call for a male who was on the water and suffered a laceration and he was bleeding heavily. Fairfield Police Marine Unit responded with Fire and AMR personnel on board. . The vessel was located approximately 1 nautical mile west of Penfield Lighthouse.  Westport Police Marine Unit assisted as well as a good-Samaritan who was rendering first aid to the victim prior to Police arrival. The victim was identified as Wigberto J Mendez 08/13/48 from Waterbury CT.  Further investigation into the accident revealed that Mendez was traveling east returning back to Dolphins Cove launch ramp in Bridgeport at about 15 knots, when the steering cable snapped which caused the vessel to turn…

Westport News : Community Service Corps

#WESTPORT CT- - Human Services Director Elaine Daignault has announced that applications for the fall 2017 session of the Community Service Corps are now available The Community Service Corps is an after-school program available to Westport students in sixth, seventh and eighth grade. Student volunteers work one afternoon each week, Monday through Thursday from 3 to 5 p.m.  At the end of the 10-week program, there is a wrap-up event at Toquet Hall where student volunteers are able to reflect on and discuss their experiences. Stratford News: Man Charged With Manslaughter After Shooting

Michael “Buddha” Catchings age 21 of Stratford was arrested in connection with the shooting death of Raenetta Catchings on 08-13- 2017. A second victim was also shot but survived his injuries. The arrest comes after an intense investigation by the Stratford Police Department. Michael Catchings if the uncle of the deceased victim Reanetta. Bridgeport News: Large Drug Bust

The Bridgeport Police Department Tactical Narcotics Team conducted a long-term drug investigation into a large-scale narcotics trafficker, later identified Clark Thomas. Investigations revealed that THOMAS has been distributing large quantities of heroin crack-cocaine, and marijuana throughout the city of Bridgeport and lower Fairfield County. As a result of the investigation, search and seizure warrants were gained for two separate residences, which THOMAS implicated during the investigation, located at 2370 North Avenue, Bridgeport and 98 Tuckahoe Drive, Shelton. Fairfield News: 2 Fishermen Drown – 4 Rescued

7:30am--#Fairfield CT-- Around 7:30am Fairfield Emergency Communication Center received a call for 6 fishermen stranded on Penfield Reef.  Assistant Fire Chief Roger Caisse said that when first responders arrived on the scene, three individuals made their way back to safety, one person was rescued and two were submerged under the water.   Police Chief Gary MacNamara said the individuals were walking towards the lighthouse on the reef when high tide came in and overwhelmed the fishermen.  The chief said the men were closer to the lighthouse then they were to the shore.  Resources from surrounding areas provided dive teams and other resources in the attempted recovery.  At 3:22pm police radio reports said one victim was recovered and the second victim was…
