His interest in news spread to become the communities breaking news leader in Connecticut’s Fairfield County. He strongly believes that the public has right to know what is happening in their backyard and that government needs to be transparent. Steve also likes promoting local businesses.

Bridgeport News: Homicide Arrest

#Bridgeport CT--This morning, members of the Fugitive Task Force apprehended Richard Evans of 350 Dogwood Drive) and served him with an arrest warrant charging him with Murder, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, and Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit. He is alleged to have fatally shot Reginald May at 140 Alice Street on July 2, 2017. The evidence shows that Evans lured May out of his apartment by setting off his car alarm, and then opening fire on him from a neighboring yard when he came outside to investigate. #Westport CT--Elaine Daignault, Director of the Westport Department of Human Services announces the return of the American Job Center Southwest’s (formerly known as CTWorks) Career Coach at Westport Town Hall.  On Thursday, September 14, the Coach will offer a beginner’s class in Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 from 10 a.m. – noon, followed by an intermediate class in PowerPoint 2013 from 1 – 3 p.m.  The Career Coach is a “training center” tour bus equipped with ten wireless computer labs offering free computer classes to residents in the greater Norwalk area.  The mobile unit operates on a monthly schedule of visits to various community locations and is accessible to people with disabilities.   Area residents interested in registering should contact the Westport Department of Human…

Bridgeport News: Homicide Arrest

#Bridgeport CT--This morning, detectives arrested Anthony Reeves, 34 of 555 Trumbull Avenue in connection with the June 7th, 2017 homicide of Jason Nieves. Reeves allegedly shot Nieves twice while they were in a stolen car at the corner of Houston Ave and Dodd Ave. Nieves' body remained in the car for several hours until Reeves returned with Larry Tinsley and they set the car and Nieves on fire. Reeves is charged with Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Arson in the Second Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Carrying a Pistol Without a Permit, and Larceny in the Third Degree.
