4:15pm–#Fairfield CT– Firefighters were called to a house fire at 1346 Stratfield Road Saturday afternoon.  They were met with heavy fire in the back, the right side of the building and the flames were starting to catch the shed in the back and a neighboring home.  Assistant Fire Chief George Gomola praised his firefighters with quickly containing the flames and the rescuing three dogs in the home.  He said with help from EMS from American Medical Response (AMR) the dogs trapped inside probably won’t have any ill effects from the smoke.  Two residents in the home told me that the fire started from the outside of the home and then entered the home.  Within the hour firefighters had the fire under control including the stubborn hot spots.  The fire marshal was called to investigate the cause.

4:15pm – #Fairfield CT – Los bomberos fueron llamados a un incendio en una casa en la 1346 Stratfield Road el sábado por la tarde. Encontraron fuego pesado en la parte de atrás, el lado derecho de la casa y las llamas estaban empezando a coger el cobertizo en la parte de atrás y una casa vecina. El jefe Asistente de bomberos, George Gomola, alabó a sus bomberos con la rápida contención de las llamas y el rescate de tres perros en el hogar. Con la ayuda del personal de emergencia médica atendieron los perros atrapados adentro aseguraron que no tienen ningunos efectos por el humo. Dos residentes en la casa me dijeron que el fuego comenzó desde el exterior de la casa y luego adentro de la casa. Dentro de la hora los bomberos tenían el fuego bajo control. El mariscal de fuego fue llamado para investigar la causa.
