Bridgeport Launches Black History Month

City Hall Annex was the kick off for Black History Month for the City of Bridgeport.  Deborah Caviness kicked off the event and Natalie Pryce was master ceremonies.  Mayor Bill Finch brought his insight and introduced the hit of the event Muhammad Drammeh, 12, is an eighth grade honor student who recited  President Barack Obama’s historic inaugural speech from memory.   Chef Pierre of the Metric Restaurant and Grill on Cannon Street was the big hit with a history and sampling of soul food.  The food was so good it will be a future restaurant review for DoingItLocal.com!
