On 02/19/16 at approximately 8:00pm, Westport Officers responded to the Newtown Police Department to arrest Branden Betas on an active warrant held by Westport. On 11/26/15, suspect Betas was captured on Stop and Shop surveillance placing energy drinks into a bag and leaving the store without paying. Store security positively identified Betas because he was arrested at the Bridgeport Stop and Shop for a similar crime. Betas was held on a $2,500.00 bond and has a court date in Norwalk on 02/29/16.
