#Bridgeport, Conn. (November 10, 2015) – The Bridgeport Police Department announced the arrest of three people that were part of an incident involving a firearm. Around 2:00 a.m. on Friday, November 7, police officers responded to a call regarding three Hispanic males who were threatening patrons at an establishment – one of whom was flashing a firearm – near the corner of Madison Ave. and Morgan Ave. Upon arrival on scene, police officers were notified that the suspects fled the establishment on foot toward a parked car, which was believed to be owned by the suspect carrying a firearm. The suspect holding the firearm was also believed to be wearing khaki shorts. The three suspects were later seen on the side of a multi-family home near the corner of Madison Ave. and Windsor St.
After a witness confirmed that the three Hispanic males seen at the multi-family home were those who threatened patrons at the aforementioned establishment, police officers put each of them in handcuffs, and patted each of them down. None of the suspects had firearms on them when patted down. However, police officers searched the side of the multi-family home near the corner of Madison Ave. and Windsor St. where they found a .38 Special loaded with 4 copper jacketed, brass case live rounds. The three suspects were identified as Ruben Fuente (DOB: 7/17/1990), Rene Lopez (DOB: 7/20/1976), and Angel Ramos (DOB: 1/27/1983).
Mr. Fuente was charged with the following: Carrying a pistol without a permit. Threatening in the 1st degree. Breach of Peach in the 2nd degree.
Mr. Lopez was charged with the following: Breach of Peace in the 2nd degree.
Mr. Ramos was charged with the following: Breach of Peace.
