2:55pm–#Fairfield CT– Sprinkler systems prevented a major fire in the high density apartments at 130 Fairchild Avenue on the second floor.    The dead end street is clogged with emergency vehicles as the opponents of the high density apartment have claimed would happen in an emergency.  Firefighters find a heavy smoke condition on the second floor and are now reading high carbon monoxide levels throughout the building. Firefighters are in the process of ventilating and because of the carbon monoxide levels each apartment must be metered by the firefighters.  Two people are being evaluated for smoke inhalation.
