3:50pm–#Fairfield CT–Firefighters are on scene at Gould Manor Park for a sudsy substance that has killed off some fish and eels.  Firefighters are trying to determine what the substance is but with water soluble materials is is difficult because the equipment will read mostly water.  They suspect it is caused by someone washing their car in the neighborhood not knowing the water from the catch basin empties into the pond.  The continue investigating. Connecticut’s Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) has been notified of the incident.
