From the invitation sent out to the public:
“As you know, our non-partisan and good government focused group, Citizens Working For a Better Bridgeport (CW4BB), has formed a Political Action Committee (PAC). The time has come for us to stand behind candidates who put the best interests of the citizens in Bridgeport and the kids in our school system in the forefront of their minds.
We are hosting a public forum on Monday August 19th from 5:30 PM-7:00 PM at the Bridgeport Public Library, 925 Broad Street; to seek your input on the candidates we should consider endorsing. There will be sign- up sheets available for those who can help and assist candidates by making phone calls, walking, etc. The primary is fast approaching on September 10th 2013, time is critical! We need your support at this critically important time in Bridgeport’s history, and we really hope to see you there!”
In the coming days, the non- partisan PAC CW4BB will be releasing information regarding other candidates that it plans to endorse for both City Council seats in the remainder of the Bridgeport council Districts as well as in the City-wide Board of Education election.
