Stratford Smoke Shop Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests for Illegal Cannabis Sales

During the month of May 2024, The Stratford Narcotics and Vice Unit initiated a criminal investigation of illegal activity at the S & T Smoke Shop located at 562 Honeyspot Road.This Narcotics and Vice Unit’s investigation was in conjunction with several other different agencies.The Bridgeport DEA Task Force, the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services and the State of Connecticut Department of Revenue Services.These agencies participation was instrumental in identifying the criminal activity taking place at the S & T Smoke Shop.This investigation resulted in the arrests of the following individuals. Motorcycle Crash Leads to Arrest: Stolen Bike, Unregistered Gun Found with Distracted Rider

https://youtu.be/w15jl6Okpqs On September 1, 2024 at 3:14 A.M., the Ansonia Police Department investigated a single vehicle accident involving a motorcycle on Division Street near Wakelee Avenue. Officers identified Marcise Glover, age 44, of Ansonia as the operator of the motorcycle. Glover told officers he was riding on Division Street when he received a phone call and when he looked at his phone he lost control of the motorcycle and crashed. The motorcycle was reported stolen from Shelton and a 9mm handgun with no serial number was located in the backpack Glover was carrying. Milford News: Threatening Incident Leads to Arrest

On September 2, 2024, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Milford Police responded to a report of threatening behavior involving a shotgun at the Red Roof Inn located at 10 Rowe Avenue. The investigation led to the arrest of 34-year-old Jason Jacobs, who is charged with breach of peace, threatening in the first degree, risk of injury, and carrying dangerous weapons. Jacobs was also found to have weapons in his vehicle. The incident occurred in the presence of two children. Jacobs is scheduled to appear in court on September 30, 2024, with a bond set at $50,000.

Ansonia News: Correction from the Ansonia Police

There have been incorrect postings on social media and the internet regarding an investigation into the possession of a weapon in Ansonia. The incident did not occur at the Ansonia Middle School or any other school in Ansonia, it happened the previous night, Wednesday September 4, 2024, but was not reported until yesterday, September 5, 2024, at about 1:20 P.M.. The incident was reported to the Ansonia Police Department by the Ansonia Middle School Administration immediately after they were advised of the incident by a student. Bridgeport News: 4 AM fire at Don Raphael

The Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to the Don Raphael Restaurant at 256 Oak Street at approximately 4:30 am for a fire in a commercial building. Fire units arrived on scene to find smoke and fire visible from the building at which time an aggressive interior fire attack was conducted. This was placed under control at 5:19 am and no injuries were reported. The Fire Marshall’s office is investigating.

Threatening Roommate Arrested: Convicted Felon Found with Two Handguns

On August 31, 2024, at approximately 3:52 AM, dispatch received a call about a threatening incident involving a firearm at 175 Helen St. The suspect, later identified as Willie Tyron Johnson, was reported to be chasing his roommates down the street while making threats with a firearm. Officers were quickly provided with a description of Johnson and his direction of travel, leading to his swift arrest by patrol officers. An investigation began immediately to find additional evidence. Johnson was subleasing a room at the address where the incident occurred.
