UPDATE: This is officially a confirmed homicide
From the Bridgeport Police:
At 20:11 hrs Bridgeport ECC received a call regarding an aggravated assault with a firearm in the 150 block of Seaview Ave. This incident is now a confirmed homicide. This is an isolated incident and not a threat to the community. This is an active investigation, no further at this time.
A shooting occurred at the 150 block of Seaview Avenue. One person was shot and was being transported to the hospital. Detectives have just arrived on scene.
