On August 14, 2024, at approximately 10:15 pm Bridgeport Police responded to reports of a party shot within the Greene Homes Housing Community (Building 4).  Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive 45-year-old Bridgeport man in the hallway on the fifth floor.  He was found lying down and appeared to have succumbed to fatal injuries.  Medics quickly arrived and confirmed the victim was deceased.

Patrol Officers secured the crime scene and notified the Detective Bureau (DB).  The DB Homicide Squad has taken charge of the investigation.  They are being assisted by Detectives from the Forensic Identification Unit.  The Detective Bureau is currently in the process of interviewing witnesses, collecting evidence, and notifying next of kin.    

Multiple shots were fired during this incident and the victim appears to have been targeted.
