On 06/23/24, at approximately 9:00PM, the patrol division responded to a reported robbery near 957 East Main Street.The victim was located and discovered to have been seriously injured and had his vehicle taken following the assault.Video obtained from the scene determined that the pictured male (left) and female (right) are suspects in this investigation.If anyone can identify either party or has information on their whereabouts, please get in touch with the case investigator, Detective A. A lone police car remained at Shelton Road and Osborne Lane, where 20 minutes earlier EMS had rushed a two-year-old child who had been shot. The child sustained injuries to the left side and was first taken to Bridgeport Hospital before being transported to Yale. Bridgeport News: Swatting incident arrest

A Bridgeport woman has been arrested by the Bridgeport Police for a swatting incident that led to a rapid response by the department's Emergency Service Unit.  Dorothy Smith, 34 years-old, turned herself in on Thursday morning on a felony warrant. She was charged with Falsely Reporting an Incident in the First Degree. Smith called 911 in the early morning hours on June 27th, 2024, pretending to be another female. She then falsely reported that her and her family  were being held hostage at gunpoint in a house on Highland Ave. by her boyfriend.
