2023-01-04@7:33pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Just after 7:30pm Thursday night, first responders were called to Ellsworth Street for a rolled-over min-van. Firefighters used their skills and rescue tools to extricate the occupants. The minivan hit a parked pickup truck causing the minivan to roll over. Bridgeport News: CRIMINAL ATTEMPT ASSAULT IN THE 1ST DEGREE OF AN ELDERLY-DISABLED PERSON

On December 17, 2023, around 12:40 pm, the Bridgeport Police Emergency Operations Center (EOC) received a report about an individual who had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The victim was later identified as a 33-year-old man from Bridgeport, with previous addresses linking him to Stratford, CT. He is currently in critical condition. Later that day, at approximately 3:45 pm, the Bridgeport Police EOC received additional information from concerned citizens who reported a potential crime scene in the 400 block of Hollister Avenue. Police officers promptly responded, confirming the existence of a crime scene inside a residence with multiple pieces of evidence. Milford News: Burglary Arrest

On April 24, 2023, the police got a call about a burglar alarm going off at Bruneau's Service Center on Rowe Avenue. When they got there, it looked like a burglary had just happened. The front door was open, the windows were broken, and the cash register was outside in front of the building. The detectives from the Milford Police Department started investigating and collected evidence from the scene. As they looked into it, they identified Rashaan Cherry, Jr. as a suspect. Detective Dancy got a warrant for his arrest, and the Milford Superior Court issued it. Ansonia News: Person Shot

On January 1, 2024 at about 1:20 A.M. the Ansonia Police Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a person shot near the intersection of East Main Street and Tremont Street. When officers arrived, they found a vehicle off the road on the sidewalk with a male in the driver’s seat of a vehicle, he was shot at least once in the lower body. The male was transported to a local hospital where he is in stable condition. The initial investigation determined the shooting took place on South Cliff Street near Cottage Avenue and the male then drove to East Main Street before driving off the road onto the sidewalk. Norwalk Murder Arrest

On December 28, 2023, Norwalk Police Special Services Division was contacted by Waterbury Police Detectives regarding a murder investigation. Waterbury Police held an active arrest warrant for Barry Mason. Special Services officers developed information that Mason could be in the greater Norwalk area and set up surveillance at a location Mason was known to frequent. At approximately 5:30 PM, Mason was observed walking on Lexington Avenue. Special Services officers took Mason into custody without incident. Mason was transported to Norwalk Police Headquarters and then turned over to the Waterbury Police Department.
