On October 28, 2023 at 6:06 PM, Norwalk Combined Dispatch received a 911 call reporting anevading motor vehicle accident at the intersection of East Rocks Road and Bayne Street.Norwalk Police Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene. Arriving officers found asingle motorcycle that was struck by the evading vehicle. The operator and passenger of themotorcycle were transported to Norwalk Hospital with significant injuries. A lithium battery caught fire in the garage. Firefighters quickly extinguished the fire and is removing the battery and venting the home.
