#Shelton CT--On 05/31/2023 at approximately 3:00 PM a 73-year-old Shelton woman was loading items in her vehicle at Walmart located on Bridgeport Ave in Shelton. A vehicle approached the woman and the passenger exited and stole her purse while pushing her. Eyewitnesses and video surveillance revealed the vehicle was Hyundai Tucson which was later discovered to be stolen. Shelton Police communicated with surrounding towns and the New Haven Police Department stopped the vehicle a short time later. Two 16-year-old New Haven teens were arrested. During the investigation, items from the Shelton woman’s purse were located in the vehicle. The two teens were charged with Robbery 2nd Degree , Conspiracy to commit Robbery 2 nd Degree, Larceny 4th Degree and Conspiracy…
#Bridgeport CT--On February 17, 2023, 68-year-old Jeffrey Lindo of Bridgeport CT was assaulted at his home during a domestic dispute. Mr. Lindo resided in the 100 block of Charles Street with his daughter and grandson. On February 20, 2023, Mr. Lindo was found unresponsive inside his home and pronounced deceased. In mid-May 2023, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner contacted the Bridgeport Police Department with the cause and manner of death. The cause of death is complications of blunt impact injury of the head with subdural hemorrhage. The manner of death is homicide. (MIDDLETOWN, CT – May 30, 2023) – Connecticut State Troopers experienced a busy holiday weekend, responding to thousands of calls for service, assisting motorists and arresting drivers operating under the influence. The Connecticut State Police had 5,880 calls for service, assisted 476 motorists, responded to 273 accidents with 2 involving serious injuries and 4 reported fatalities, made 36 DUI arrests, issued 518 citations for speeding and 208 seatbelt citations. Troopers issued 576 citations for hazardous moving violations (to include: unsafe lane change, following too closely, move over, etc). #Bridgeport CT-- At approximately 7:30pm Sunday, the Bridgeport ECC received a 911 call reporting an assault with a dangerous weapon at the Arches of Seaside Park. Bridgeport Police and AMR on-scene with a wound to the face by a sharp object. Medics treating the person and police are actively investigating the incident. No further details at this time. Bridgeport Fire Official Update: On-Scene Fire Incident Command notifications indicated heavy fire third-floor. The Fire Incident Commander quickly declared a working fire and upgraded the incident to a second alarm. An evacuation tone was ordered at one point during the fire for all firefighters to evacuate the structure. The fire department was able to get the fire under control and extinguished. Red Cross is assisting nine occupants and the Fire Marshal was called on scene to investigate the cause of origin of fire. 2023-05-29@11:26am--#Bridgeport CT-- Firefighters were called to a fire in the 900 block of Hancock Avenue.
