Fairfield News: Carjacking Arrests

#Fairfield CT--On Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at approximately 1:04pm, the Fairfield County Regional Dispatch Center received a 911 call from a male victim reporting that he was just robbed at gunpoint in the TJ Maxx parking lot located at 425 Tunxis Hill Cutoff in Fairfield. The victim was attempting a sale of his vehicle in the lot after a prearranged meeting was discussed using a common online platform. The suspects, described as two black males, brandished firearms ordering the victim to turn over his belongings and subsequently fled into the victim’s vehicle, a black BMW. Bridgeport News: Shots Fired Denver Avenue

2023-04-26@8:40pm--#Bridgeport CT-- Around 8:15pm I received a couple of Facebook Messenger reports from viewers of about 6 or 7 shots fired on Denver Avenue. Hearing no calls for EMS I waited until they were dispatched around 8:30. Denver Avenue had a heavy police presence with a red car with its windshield smashed in. Fairfield News: Police Quickly Apprehend Carjackers

2023-04-26@1:10pm--#Fairfield CT-- Fairfield Police quickly apprehended two carjackers who took a black BMW from the parking lot at TJ Max on Tunxis Hill Road. Police were able to track the suspects to Commerce Drive where the suspects ran to Enterprise Rent-A-Car where they attempted to rent a vehicle. Police surrounded the building and apprehended the two suspects. Once again Fairfield Police professionalism shined as Lieutenant Michael Paris sought me out to give his report to the public. CNG OVER-COLLECTED $8 MILLION FROM CONNECTICUT RATEPAYERS

Following a recent earnings report showing Connecticut Natural Gas Corporation over-collected $8 million from Connecticut families and businesses, Attorney General William Tong, Consumer Counsel Claire E. Coleman, Connecticut Industrial Energy Consumers, and the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority Office of Education, Outreach, and Enforcement submitted a joint petition to the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority seeking a new rate hearing to drive down costs for consumers. It has been five years since CNG’s last rate case before PURA. Per state statute, rate review hearings must be conducted at least every four years. Fairfield News: Assault Suspect Quickly Apprehended

Fairfield Police UPDATE: On Tuesday April 25, 2023 at approximately 7:04pm, a Fairfield Police Officer came upon two men engaged in a physical dispute on Stillson Road at the intersection of Black Rock Turnpike. The officer was able to successfully detain one male who was identified as the primary aggressor and armed with a razor blade style knife. The second male was treated by responding officersuntil medical personnel could arrive. The suspect is identified as Azael Morales-Osorio (24) of Bridgeport and is being charged with Assault 1st Degree and Breach of Peace. He is being held at police headquarters on a$100,000 bond. Viewer Cam Capture Explosion To Emotions

2023-04-24@3:50pm--#Bridgeport CT-- #cttraffic-- ViewerCam captured an explosion of sorts at the beginning of the video to an emotional reunion of family members halfway through, to firefighters extinguishing the fire. The fire had a big head start because firefighters have to travel into Trumbull to turn around to get to the southbound section of Route 8/25. Fortunately, no one was in the car!
