#Trumbull Police arrested a man, that had two (2) outstanding arrest warrants, after he was caught entering a stolen car at the Trumbull Mall Thursday morning, March 9th. Police located the stolen vehicle in the mall parking lot, where Hiram Manuel Medero, age 28, of New Haven, was arrested and charged accordingly. At approximately 9:30 AM, an officer located the stolen 2019 Chevrolet TRX occupied by a female passenger, with the engine running, as it was parked near the food court at the mall. Officers confirmed that the vehicle had been reported stolen to the Bridgeport Police Department on March 6. #Bridgeport CT--On the fifteenth of June in the year 2022, at approximately 1748 hours, the Emergency Operations Center in Bridgeport CT received multiple reports regarding an unfortunate incident involving a pickup truck and a gas-powered scooter at the intersection of Kossuth St. and Putnam St. According to the concerned citizens who placed the calls, a red Ford F150 collided with two men who were riding on the scooter, and the driver of the pickup truck fled the scene in a southerly direction on Kossuth St. The authorities immediately dispatched the American Medical Response and the Bridgeport Police to the site of the accident. Governor Ned Lamont today announced that he has directed the Connecticut Department of Social Services (DSS) to extend the coverage period for households receiving deliverable fuel assistance under the Connecticut Energy Assistance Program (CEAP) during the 2022-2023 winter season to March 31, 2023. The original deadline to receive fuel deliveries this winter season was March 15, 2023. Governor Lamont explained that thanks to the work of Connecticut’s Congressional delegation in securing the unprecedented fiscal year 2023 federal funding for the program, the state has resources available to provide for a slight extension to the deadline, giving residents a few extra days to receive assistance for fuel deliveries. #Westport CT--On January 27th , 2023, Ms. Reppi was arrested by Wilton Police Department for allegedly attempting to fraudulently withdraw money from a Webster Bank in Wilton. Pursuant to their arrest, Ms. Reppi spoke with Wilton Police Investigators and admitted to successfully withdrawing money fraudulently from the Webster Bank in Westport. Westport Detectives were notified and initiated an investigation. They were able to confirm, through video surveillance, that prior to attempting the withdrawal in Wilton, Ms. Reppi allegedly withdrew money from Webster bank in Westport fraudulently. An arrest warrant was issued and on March 3 , 2023, Ms. Reppi was arrested at Stamford Superior Court. Ms. Reppi was charged with the above-referenced crimes and held on a court-set bond of…

Police UPDATE: On March 8, 2023, at approximately 2:50 pm the Bridgeport Police Department received reports of shots fired near the intersection of State Street & Iranistan Avenue. Police Officers responded to the area and located a 52-year-old Bridgeport man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the leg. He was quickly transported to an area hospital where he is listed in stable condition. No suspect information at this time. The Detective Bureau has responded and taken over the investigation. Detectives have collected evidence in the 800 block of Iranistan Avenue and are currently conducting interviews. The scene on Iranistan Avenue is now clear of police activity and has been reopened to the public. This appears to be an isolated incident. …
