Bridgeport News: Subway Robbed…AGAIN

This is a tip from a viewer. If it weren't for this tip this would have gone unreported...you know, no bad news until after the election... On Friday February 17, 2023 at 15:27hrs the Bridgeport ECC received multiple 911 calls about a business on East Main Street being robbed by a male who stated he had a firearm. The Bridgeport Police were immediately dispatched to 926 East Main Street Subway Sandwich Shop. According to BPD on-scene command reports the individual was gone on arrival and had told the staff he had a firearm but never brandished it and fled the location on foot heading northbound on East Main Street. This remains an active investigation.

Bridgeport News: Another Pedestrian Struck

Police said: On Friday February 17, 2023 at 19:20hrs the Bridgeport ECC received a call from an AMR crew reporting a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle. The driver of the vehicle remained on-scene. Victim was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The City of Bridgeport Pushes to Remove the Bottleneck Delay of FOI Requests

Bridgeport, CT – In order to more efficiently and timely respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests and to reduce middleman bottleneck delay, the administration has authorized and directed the City Attorney’s Office to initiate a new FOI program to become effective in the coming weeks. In the interim, the City will be conducting comprehensive training to all relevant staff and issuing each department necessary new software licenses to facilitate this change. Under this priority program, which was in development during 2022, all new FOI requests will be directly submitted to, and processed by, the City department which has custody of relevant records; and which will then process and directly respond to such request. Norwalk News: Shots Fired Arrest

#Norwalk CT--On January 6, 2023, at 11:51pm, the Norwalk Combined Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting shots fired in the Garner Street area. Responding Patrol Division Officers discovered evidence that shots had been fired, and thankfully no one was injured. The Norwalk Police Detective Bureau assumed the investigation and determined that multiple suspects had fired shots at a victim on Garner Street. Based upon their investigation, arrest warrants were issued for two suspects. On January 11, 2023, Norwalk Detectives, assisted by the Emergency Service Unit Tactical ResponseTeam arrested two suspects at their homes, as previously reported. Tesla Recall

U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Edward J. Markey (D-MA) issued the following joint statement after Tesla recalled more than 360,000 of its vehicles equipped with Full Self-Driving Beta software due to crash risk: “NHTSA rightly pushed Tesla to issue this necessary recall. We have long warned that there are critical flaws with Tesla’s software, including the rolling stops feature, which puts the public at grave risk. While a critical step, this recall is long overdue and was clearly needed, as we explained when we raised alarm about Tesla’s features. Westport News: Larceny

#Westport CT-- On January 18 th , 2023 Officers responded to the parking lot of Shake Shack on a report of a theft from a vehicle. The responding officer located the complainant in the parking lot standing next to his work van. The complainant reported that he was inside a business doing work and when he returned to his work van, he noticed that it had been entered, rummaged through, and tools had been stolen. Leaving the parking lot, the complainant observed a black pickup truck containing some of his items in the bed of the truck.
