2022-10-27@2:02pm--#Fairfield CT-- Police and firefighters rescued a boat taking on water about a mile offshore near the Penfield Lighthouse. There were four people onboard and they all were wearing life preservers. Radio reports said there were no injuries and the police boat towed the boat back to shore.

#Fairfield CT-- On Wednesday October 26, 2022, the Fairfield Police were made aware of several domestic violence arrest warrants issued for Neil Bhatia, 46, of Fairfield after he failed to appear in court TODAY following his arrest the day prior by Fairfield Police. Bhatia had been arrested by Fairfield Police yesterday and charged with two counts of RISK OF INJURY TO A MINOR and DISORDERLY CONDUCT and posted $20,000 bond. Bhatia also had new warrants for his arrest issued in Stamford and Weston. Officers attempted to serve these warrants at Bhatia’s home on Mona Terrace this evening and encountered Bhatia who was extremely uncooperative and refused to exit his home or speak with police. #Milford CT--On October 24, 2022, officers were dispatched to Dick’s Sporting Goods for a report of a shoplifting. The female suspect had a child with her and fled the scene in a vehicle. The vehicle was located with 4 flat tires on Research Drive. The female driver, later identified as Ashley Swiatowiec, 31 of West Haven was detained and a child was located in the vehicle in a car seat. The Loss Prevention Officer at Dick’s Sporting Goods said that Swiatowiec entered the store with a young boy in the cart. Trumbull Police charged four (4) juveniles after they crashed a stolen car and fled on foot into a residential neighborhood near Town Hall early today. Officers who were searching the area located the four suspects as they were attempting to escape with the help of an Uber driver. One (1) juvenile, age 12, of Hamden, one (1) juvenile, age 15, of West Haven, and two (2) juveniles, ages 15 and 16, of New Haven, were all arrested and charged with auto theft for their involvement in this incident.
