Connecticut Insurance Department Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Industry Bulletin on Guidance for Managing the Financial Risks of Climate Change

The Connecticut Insurance Department (CID) has opened a public comment period on a proposed bulletin which will provide guidance to insurers in how to manage the financial risks associated with climate change.The proposed bulletin details the Department’s expectations for domestic insurers and their taking a strategic approach to managing climate risks that considers both current and future risks and identifies the actions necessary to manage those risks. Police said: " BRIDGEPORT- The Bridgeport Police are investigating two non-life threatening stabbing incidents that occurred earlier this morning. The first incident occurred on Bryant Street at 0019hrs. This incident involves a known party. The victim experienced a non-life threatening injury to the shoulder blade. Suspect was gone upon arrival. Police are actively investigating this incident. The second incident occurred at 0108hrs. St. Vincent’s Medical Center alerted the Bridgeport ECC regarding a party that just walked into their Emergency Room with a non-life threatening stab wound to the arm. Party indicated that the incident occured near State Street and Iranistan Avenue. Fire Destroys Historic Building in Seymour

On Wednesday April 20, 2022 at approximately 1416 hours, the Seymour Fire Department was dispatched to 4 Bank Street for the reported structure fire. Crews responded and arrived on scene within minutes. Initial interior attack crews were met with heavy fire conditions and were able to make a push and advance to the seat of the fire. During this time conditions began to deteriorate above them and fire traveled throughout the common cockloft above the businesses. At this point a decision wasmade to go to a defensive attack (surround and drown).   Legislation Would Allow CT Airport Authority to use Eminent Domain to Expand Sikorsky Memorial Airport through Land Seizure  STRATFORD – Mayor Laura R.
