Bridgeport News: Homicide

Police UPDATE: Last night, at 2338 hours, officers responded to a report of a party shot in front of 1052 Stratford Avenue. When they arrived, they found Fredrick Shelby (DOB: 4-30-78 of 141 Union Avenue) suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Medics pronounced Shelby dead at the scene. Detectives are working to determine the motive for the homicide. Anyone with information should contact Detective Heanue at 203-581-5242. 2022-03-19@12:45PMish-- Two shots rang out before midnight and one person was killed on Stratford Avenue near 4th Street. K-9 Nash’s vest was embroidered with the sentiment “In honor of Kim Carino.” Vested Interest in K9s, Inc., established in 2009, is a 501(c)(3) charity whose mission is to provide bullet and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement and related agencies throughout the United States.
